Solo Dame a Jesus Panama E-mail

Early in 2005, a group of Panamanian women of all denominations and backgrounds invited Anne to bring Just Give Me Jesus to Panama City, sharing with her their heart for revival in their country. One year later, at the end of an intensive week of ministry which culminated with Just Give Me Jesus Panama, that group of praying women have seen heaven open over their Republic as they beheld God’s glory at every turn.

In an unprecedented move, Anne spent Tuesday erin.jpgof the revival week conducting an all-day conference for the pastors of Panama. For an entire day, more than 700 pastors of every denomination and geographic region heard Anne’s challenge from 2nd Timothy to “preach the Word.” With a commitment service at day’s end, the country’s pastors stood together to commit to courageously and faithfully be in God’s Word themselves and to impart the Word to their flocks.

On the following Saturday, 2 women and boy.jpgthe women of those congregations came by the thousands to receive their own fresh touch from Jesus at Solo Dame a Jesus Panama. The response was so great that the 5,000 woman arena filled to capacity before the program even began, resulting in the use of overflow venues where thousands more watched the entire day’s revival on video.

The evidence of the hunger for God’s Word was evident even before Fernando Ortega’s opening song of worship. The lengths women went to for their divine appointment seemed to confirm that the women of Panama were ready for revival:
- In the country’s interior where poverty prevails, one group of women had each purchased piglets and baby chicks months before the revival. With no money to pay for a bus ride to Panama City, they knew they could fatten their purchase into a pig or chickens that they could sell at market in time to fund the journey.
- One group of women who lived along the Colombian border, a region known for its dangerous presence of guerrilla fighters, put their trust (and their lives) in the Lord’s hands as they drove vans through the treacherous roads known for roadside attacks.

- Delegations from neighboring nations including the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Costa Rica and Colombia made the trip to Panama in hopes the Lord would meet them in a fresh way, but also in eager anticipation that the Lord would pour out His blessing by bringing revival to their nation.

The women not only came from all geographic regions, they came from all cultures – the very urban Panama City to the interior, home of the country’s indigenous Indian tribes such as the women of the Embarra tribe who were easily spotted throughout the arena as they each wore their tribe’s traditional garb.

surrender web.jpgThough the Panamanian revival may have been marked by its variety of culture, denomination and geographic homes, the response to the worship and teaching was the same throughout the arena -- Hundreds stood to accept Jesus as their Savior for the first time. Thousands raised their flags of surrender to the “nails” in their life. Thousands registered for the Bible studies that will begin in all nine of the country’s provinces in March.

Perhaps the greatest example of God’s power and His glory comes from the Panama City revival team’s Special Needs committee. One of the special needs services offered was sign language interpretation for those unable to audibly hear the day’s teaching. As she finished her message of Jesus’ death on the cross so we can receive the gift of knowing we can go to Heaven when we die, Anne extended an invitation for anyone to stand and tell Him that they accept His gift if they had never consciously made that decision before. From Anne’s words, passed through her Spanish translator (Georgina Gonzalez), then passed through a sign language interpreter, women from the hearing impaired seating section stood to mark their decision to accept His gift.

bible study web.jpgGod’s Word changes lives and all present at the ministry events the week of February 13th saw first-hand evidence of lives transformed right before their eyes – one pastor at a time….one woman at a time.

Please join us in continued prayer as more than 100 Bible studies will begin across the country in the month of March.

A Dios es la gloria!
