Although happiness is an inalienable right to Americans, it seems elusive. We flounder in a sea of confusion and depression, emptiness and loneliness.  We have more knowledge than ever before, but lack the wisdom to use it.  We vehemently disagree with each other on policy issues that affect us all, and are bitterly divided on moral and cultural matters.  I believe that one primary reason our nation is struggling with her identity and for her very soul, is that we have distanced ourselves from the Word of God.

The Psalmist says that God’s Word is “the joy of my heart;” that “the entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple,” that “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path,” that ”Your statutes are my delight,” that “I gain understanding from your precepts.”  Without God’s Word, our potential for God’s blessing shrivels, and can even put us in jeopardy of judgment. 

Daily Light for Daily Living is a one-minute radio program which seeks to focus the listeners attention on God’s Word.  As it airs daily on radio stations all across America, in each segment I share a Scripture verse and give how it applies to your personal life.  It is my prayer that those listening…in their homes…or in their cars, confined to their sickbed…or behind bars, will make the life-changing discovery that God’s Word works!
